As already announced, our 2006 EUREF Symposium will be hold in Riga/Latvia. This symposium was planned for Wednesday, May 17 - Friday, May 19, 2006 (Technical excursion: Saturday, May 20) Unfortunately we did not observe adequately that at the same time the Ice Hockey World Championship will take place in Riga. Some colleagues already tried to reserve flights and hotels rooms - without no success or only for enormous prices. We kindly beg your pardon for this inconvenience! SO WE DECIDED TO POSTPONE THE SYMPOSIUM FOR A FEW DAYS/WEEKS. We naturally will inform you as soon as possible on the new date - this mail is to reset/stop any flight-/hotel room reservations for the original date. We also will indicate the new date in our website as soon as our hosts have decided on the changed date. 2. Our colleague Carine Bruyninx/Royal Observatory of Belgium has sent us a job advertisement for a geodesist. The Royal Observatory of Belgium, Division 'Earth Rotation, Time and Space Geodesy', Brussels offers a Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship for the task “GNSS-related research” with the begin of January 2007.
